Jack Butland is on the verge of completing a move to Rangers after holding talks with the Scottish club.

The English goalkeeper remains on Crystal Palace’s books but it is understand that they no longer want to keep him beyond the summer, and it goes without saying that he won’t be kept on at Manchester United where he became a loanee in January.

According to the Daily Mail, Butland held talks with Ibrox chiefs on Tuesday night and it sounds like his heart is set on a move to Govan.

The 30-year-old’s loan deal will end at United after the FA Cup final, next week.

It is suggested that personal terms have now been agreed following the talks on Tuesday evening.

Butland is set to become Ranger’s third free summer signing following the arrivals of Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling.
