‘It’s brilliant, it’s magnificent’ – Ten Hag beams while reflecting on his first season in England

Erik ten Hag has thoroughly enjoyed his first season as Manchester United’s manager.

The Red Devils have just two games left of the 2022/2023 campaign, one in the Premier League against Fulham on Sunday, and the FA Cup final at Wembley next Saturday, June 3.

Overall, it’s safe to say that Ten Hag’s first term has been a resounding success; Champions League qualification secured, one trophy in the bag and another up for grabs, a 28-game home unbeaten streak, home wins against all of the usual top-six clubs and so much more.

Whilst of course there have been several low points, he has orchestrated some absolutely emphatic moments and matchdays for the Old Trafford faithful, so it’s no wonder why they’ve taken to him so quickly.

When speaking with reporter Melissa Reddy, Ten Hag was asked how much he has enjoyed his first season in England as United boss.

He responded: “Every day, every hour, every minute. It’s incredible. That’s why I wanted to go abroad – to have these experiences and it’s brilliant, it’s magnificent.”
