Marcel Sabitzer pushing for Manchester United stay

After being ruled out with injury for the remainder of the season, Marcel Sabitzer’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt.

Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer would love to stay at Old Trafford this summer, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Italian journalist said: “I’m sure that he wants to stay at Manchester United, so Sabitzer is just waiting for Man United to make a decision. He would love to stay; he would love to continue. He’s very happy with the club, with the team-mates, with the manager.”

The 29-year-old joined the Reds on loan from Bayern Munich in January – and Romano claims he is happy with life in Manchester under Erik ten Hag.

United may have to pay Bayern around £30 million if they want to sign Sabitzer at the end of the season, as per the Daily Star, and Ten Hag didn’t dismiss the likelihood of that him staying when asked at a recent press conference.

That seems like a lot of money to pay for someone approaching 30, with one year left on his current deal at Bayern Munich.

I’d keep him but not for that money.
