Manchester United prepare to oversee ‘double figures’ of exits this summer

Manchester United are planning a summer clearout, with outgoings likely to break double figures.

That’s according to MEN, which confirms there could be as many as 13 players leaving the club at the end of the season, several of which will include youngsters from the under-18 setup.

Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Ethan Galbraith, Charlie Wellens and Ondrej Mastny will all be released as free agents, whilst the likes of Harry Maguire, Anthony Elanga, Anthony Martial, Brandon Williams and more will be listed on the transfer market in a bid to recuperate funds ahead of the window.

Ten Hag awaits transfer budget clarity

With so many faces on their way out, it makes space for those on their way in. Erik ten Hag must bolster his squad if he wants United to compete on all four fronts next season, but he is currently left with his hands tied whilst navigating the transfer market due to the uncertainty of the club’s ownership situation.
