Napoli have reportedly begun seeking a replacement for Manchester United-bound Kim Min-jae.
That’s according to London World, which reports that the Serie A champions have set their sights on Dinos Mavropanos of Stuttgart.
The report also labels the Red Devils as “frontrunners” for Min-jae, which will come as a promising update to supporters.
26-year-old Min-jae has been a defensive stalwart for Napoli on their journey to ending a 33-year wait for the Scudetto. His agility, positioning, pace and dominance will complement the Reds’ backline perfectly in a partnership with either Raphael Varane or Lisandro Martinez.
The South Korean’s contract contains a release clause of around £39 million, though this can only be triggered from July.
Fabrizio Romano weighs in
Fabrizio Romano provided an update today confirming United’s interest in Min-jae, saying that they have in fact been monitoring him since December.
