Manchester United are preparing to take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford but the build-up to the game has been dominated by protests against the club’s ownership and some aspects of the impending sale of the club.

The Glazer family, majority owners of the club since 2005, have been under increasing pressure to sell the club in recent years and the formal process of doing so began earlier this year.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS firm and Sheikh Jassim’s Qatari consortium have been frontrunners to acquire the club but supporters have been left worried after reports suggested that only Sheikh Jassim’s proposal would result in a full sale of the club.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Ratcliffe’s third and final bid for the club would offer the Glazer family the possibility of staying at the club through a minority stake.

Supporters have now responded to those suggestions and they left very little to the imagination as they marched the streets of Manchester before kick-off against Aston Villa, as seen below.

“Full Sale Only,” is read on the majestic banner and there will be more of that over the course of the day and it will be hard to miss at Old Trafford.

The prospect of Joel and Avram Glazer staying at the club is one United fans will be forgiven for cringing at and hopefully, it remains a rumour and does not turn into reality.
