Manchester United youngster Zidane Iqbal has signed with the same agency as manager Erik ten Hag, SEG International.
According to Manchester Evening News, the 19-year-old was previously represented by CAA Base and has now switched allegiances to SEG.
The report suggests that Iqbal’s decision was partly based on the agency’s strong relationship with Ten Hag.
Iqbal was set on leaving United on loan in the January transfer window but a suitable move was never sought, which has left him at Carrington playing for the Under-21s for the remainder of the 2022/2023 campaign. The situation subsequently pushed him into changing agencies.
Ten Hag yet to deploy Iqbal
He has made the bench and matchday squad 14 times this season but is yet to feature in a competitive game under Ten Hag.
Given the change, the Iraq international will now likely acquire his desired loan move in the summer, so it will be a great chance to see the youngster in action and give him a chance to further develop his skills.
