Manchester United squad travel to Newcastle for Premier League clash

Manchester United’s squad to face Newcastle arrived at Manchester Airport this evening. Marcus Rashford makes the cut after missing the recent international break with a knock.

Marcus Rashford looks set to return to action after sustaining a knock in United’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Fulham.

The forward is already on 27 goals this season and he will be looking to add to his tally on Sunday. He scored against Newcastle in the 2-0 Carabao Cup final win at Wembley and Eddie Howe will be trying to find a way to stop Rashford this time around.

A squad list has been revealed by the Manchester Evening News, but they add that Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Marcel Sabitzer were not seen but may have gone directly to the terminal.

Erik ten Hag hinted that Martial could make a return against the Magpies when speaking to reporters at Friday’s pre-match press conference.

Meanwhile, Sabitzer may be a doubt after picking up a knee injury in Austria’s 4-1 win over Azerbaijan.

  1. United should be aware of Newcastle treat today as their boss Howe says. United will field their best players against them. We’ve beaten them twice and we shall do it again. United must stay non complacent. Must not underestimate the opponent’s. That’s the way to win them.
