Three Manchester United players receive England call-ups for EURO qualifiers

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire have been called up to represent England during the forthcoming international break.

The trio receiving the call-up from Gareth Southgate comes as no surprise to United and England fans; Rashford and Shaw’s form has been outstanding, and Maguire is one of the manager’s most trusted lieutenants despite his lack of playing time.

Southgate’s 25-man squad play two UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying matches with the first coming against Italy, the reigning champions of the competition. The Three Lions will travel to Naples and face their opponents on March 23 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

England then return home to Wembley on Sunday, March 26 to play Ukraine.

Reds on international duty

Rashford will no doubt be utilised more than he was during the World Cup and Maguire will likely start both matches, which will be useful for the defender to get some minutes back into his legs.

Hopefully, all three Reds stay fit throughout the camp and can come back to Manchester ready for club action to resume, as United have a hectic end to the season on the horizon.
