Manchester United eye move for versatile forward at AC Milan

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a number of centre-forwards ahead of the summer transfer window, but a fresh report from Italy claims Erik ten Hag could be in the market for another versatile forward, with one target playing for AC Milan.

According to an exclusive news story from Pianeta Milan, Manchester United are interested in signing AC Milan forward Rafael Leao this summer.

The Portugal international is believed to be having a bit of a standoff with Milan when it comes to a new contract, so it sounds like his agent — Jorge Mendes — will be busy trying to engineer a move in the coming months.

It is suggested that Erik ten Hag plans to use Leao in a fast and atomic attack with Marcus Rashford, which means he could bin plans to sign a centre-forward like Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen or Dusan Vlahovic. This would go completely against what is being reported elsewhere.

On top of that, Leao would not come cheap. The report claims there is a €150 million release clause and the Serie A side would not want to deviate too much from that value.

This doesn’t sound one bit believable for the money AC Milan would demand, but will they be pressured into selling him for less? Only time will tell.
