Preview: Leeds vs Manchester United

Manchester United will be looking at getting back to winning ways when they take on Leeds United in the Premier League at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds go into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with Leeds at Old Trafford on Wednesday night and Erik ten Hag will be hoping for better luck this time round when they take on the Yorkshire side on Sunday.

Casemiro will miss the clash through suspension, however, Jadon Sancho may be handed a start after coming off the bench to score the equaliser against Leeds midweek.

With games coming thick and fast February is likely to be a key month for Ten Hag and United. W

ith the Premier League, League Cup final and knockout stages of the Europa League to come its essential United put a winning run together should they wish to make this season a success. Flashback to last February, the Reds all but conceded their place in the top four and were knocked out of the both the European and FA Cup and in order for United to avoid a repeat of that we must be on our game.

Truth be told, we couldn’t really be playing Leeds at a worse time. The sacking of a manager can often make teams up their game and bring about a response and United seen that happen on Wednesday night. Had this fixture been played a month or so ago you would put your money on a Reds victory but fast forward to the present things look very different and in order for United to leave Elland Road with all three points we undoubtedly must be at our very best.

Games at Elland Road are usually lively affairs and I expect this one to be no different on Sunday. Leeds will fancy their chances of getting a result against United particularly after Wednesday night but despite that this is still a game you would expect United to win. Leeds will more than likely give it a real go on Sunday but with that comes plenty of gaps at the back which Rashford, Fernandes and co can take full advantage of.

It wont be easy but this is still a game United should win albeit it will be close.

Prediction: Leeds 1-2 Manchester United
