Manchester United face Derby County or West Ham in FA Cup fifth round

Manchester United have been drawn at home to Derby County or West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

The Red Devils will find out who they face later tonight when Derby take on West Ham in the fourth round, although I think most of us will be expecting the Hammers to reach the next round.

United have been drawn at home for the nine consecutive time in domestic cup competition.

With one foot already in the Carabao Cup final, Erik ten Hag’s men will no doubt be keen to keep up their positive form in the domestic cups where possible as the club looks to complete effectively on all fronts.

Depth has been an issue with the current squad, so it is remarkable that we find ourselves in this position, just six months into Ten Hag’s reign. It bodes well for the future that we’ve improved so quickly under the Dutchman and there is still a lot of work to do.

Hopefully Derby cause an upset against West Ham tonight.
