Man United make transfer decision on Dusan Vlahovic

Despite bringing Wout Weghorst in on loan until the end of the season, according to a recent report from the Daily Mail, Manchester United remain keen on signing another forward this month.

One player heavily linked with a surprise winter move to Old Trafford has been Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, however, according to the Express, the Red Devils have decided against pursuing a deal for the 22-year-old hitman.

The prospect of Vlahovic leaving Turin just 12 months after he arrived has been amplified by Juventus being docked 15 points after being found guilty of corporate wrongdoing.

Very unlikely to qualify for the Champions League and almost certainly out of the race for the Serie A title, the Italian giants appear to be in somewhat of a crisis and could consequently lose some of their best players.

However, even though Vlahovic ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to the type of long-term forward Erik Ten Hag would like, it seems a move this month is out of the equation – whether or not the Red Devils reignite their interest in the summer is another story though.

Since joining the Old Lady from Fiorentina, Vlahovic, who still has three years left on his deal, has gone on to feature in 36 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 20 goals along the way.
