Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic keen on Manchester United transfer

Could Manchester United make a move for Dusan Vlahovic?

According to a report from Calciomercato, as cited by the Manchester Evening News, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is ‘keen’ on a move to Manchester United.

The Red Devils are desperate to strengthen their attacking department after terminating Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract last month. It is believed that the recruitment team are focusing on the summer transfer window, while looking to bring in a striker on loan in January for the remainder of the season.

Vlahovic is an interesting one because he was one of Europe’s most wanted not long ago. He only joined Juventus last January from Fiorentina and is already being linked with an exit, despite costing the Serie A giants over £66 million.

In being a more traditional centre-forward, Vlahovic is arguably a better fit for the current United side than Cody Gakpo, who has already left PSV Eindhoven for Liverpool.

The 22-year-old has scored a respectable 13 goals in 25 appearances for Juventus in Serie A since his arrival – but their premature Champions League exit has left them needing to raise funds.

Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport claim that Vlahovic’s agent Darko Ristic is searching to secure his client a move away from Turin.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are both allegedly keen on the striker.

You can see why a player like Vlahovic would be keen on joining United right now. We are on an upward trajectory under Ten Hag and a goalscorer to bound to enjoy playing with our other attacking players.
