Brentford’s David Raya rejects contract offer amid transfer interest

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

Over a week ago, the Telegraph ran a report claiming that United and Chelsea have joined Tottenham in the race to sign the 27-year-old.

Raya has just 18 months left on his current deal at Brentford but with clubs like United beginning to show interest, the Premier League outfit will be sweating under the collar at the prospect of losing him.

A new report – via Relevo in Spain – claims Raya wants the chance to play Champions League football, as well as to earn his spot in the Spanish National Team.

The same report claims United, Tottenham and Chelsea have all made contact with the player’s entourage, which has led him to reject another contract offer at Brentford.

I think there is a growing number of United fans that feel it may be time to move on from David de Gea and to a keeper renowned for playing out from the back. It was clear he lack one of those when De Gea struggled to play against Arsenal’s high press.
