Gary O’Neil hoping to upset Manchester United again

Gary O’Neil was a member of the Norwich City squad who beat Manchester United 2-1 in December 2015.

Today, as manager of Bournemouth, he will be hoping for a similar feat as the Cherries travel to Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Speaking to the Bournemouth official website, he said: “It was a good say. It’s a tough place to go and I didn’t have many successes there. Norwich were newly-promoted and in a relegation battle to go there and get a victory was big for us. It was a special feeling, hopefully, we can recreate that on Tuesday. We treat every game as the most important one.

“The Crystal Palace game was important but we failed to deliver. We will review it, make sure it doesn’t look like that again and move on to the next one. We need to make sure we are fully committed so that will always be me and the group are very good at it so I expect to see a response. It’s going to be a tough game because they are a top side. Erik ten Hag has done some fantastic work there and they seem to have turned a corner and are much better than before he went in.”

United should have enough to claim three points tonight.
