Manchester United will be looking to close the gap on the top four when they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

The Reds go into the game on the back of a 4-2 victory over Aston Villa in the League Cup midweek whilst the hosts were defeated 2-1 by Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.

Anthony Martial could keep his place in the starting eleven after scoring against Aston Villa on Thursday night whilst Alejandro Garnacho could also start.

After losing at Villa Park last weekend, it was fantastic to see United bounce back on Thursday.

It may have only been the League Cup but truth be told we couldn’t have afforded another defeat particularly with the World Cup break just around the corner and in facing Fulham on Sunday it provides Ten Hag a chance to head into the break on a high.

Fulham have enjoyed a good season thus far under head coach Marco Silva and currently find themselves sitting 9th in the Premier League table. Craven Cottage has never been too kind for United over the years and in order for the Reds to take all three points we must be at our very best.

The home side will fancy their chances of getting a result against United but despite the hosts good form and United’s mixed record at Craven Cottage this is a game I am confident we can win.

Fulham will likely give it a real go against United and in many respects I think that could be there downfall. Rashford, Fernandes, Martial and co are all likely to start on Sunday and there will plenty of gaps at the back which Ten Hag will look to take advantage of.

It wont be easy and suspect will be tight but this is a game I think United will win albeit it will be a close affair.

Prediction: Fulham 0-1 Manchester United
