Manchester United are gearing up to face Omonia in the Champions League again after returning to winning ways with two victories on the spin.
United came out victorious in the return leg last Thursday, with goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial securing the three points.
Martial’s goal that evening was his third strike in two games and that earned him a start against Everton three days later but the Frenchman’s evening was cut short due to injury.
After assisting Antony’s equaliser in the first half at Goodison Park, the Frenchman was withdrawn with what looked to be a back injury. Now, he has been named a doubt for this Thursday’s game against Omonia at Old Trafford.

That’s according to the official Manchester United website, who add that Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Martial’s injury is not a recurring issue from the past but rather a new problem.
SN’s verdict…
With United increasingly secure in their Europa League standings, Ten Hag may be tempted to rotate the side more on Thursday but Martial’s injury certainly complicates things.
Martial’s start to the season has been unfortunate, especially considering how much better United look when he’s on the pitch. In his absence, Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to have the same type of impact.
Anthony Elanga could play instead of Martial, with Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Pellistri also potentially in line to play against Omonia.
