Erik ten Hag has finally strengthened his frontline after adding Antony to the squad, signing him for the second time after also bringing him to Ajax in 2020.
Antony has signed a five-year deal with the option of an additional year, potentially keeping him at the club until 2028. The 22-year-old is not available for tonight’s game at Leicester but could feature on Sunday against Arsenal.
The Brazil international’s move was confirmed by United on their social channels early on Thursday morning and accordingly, the club have published the first snaps of Antony in his new kits on the official Manchester United website.
After completing a deal to sign Antony, United are likely to finish their transfer business later on Thursday. Martin Dubravka, the Newcastle goalkeeper, is likely to sign for the club on loan as well.
Tahith Chong could join Birmingham on a permanent deal after it emerged that United had entered talks with the Championship club, having already sent Hannibal Mejbri there on a season-long loan.
