It feels like a long time coming but Antony is about to be announced as Manchester United’s fifth signing of the summer – to be followed by Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubvraka.
The 22-year-old will complete his medical tonight before his transfer can be made official.
Ajax are set to receive €100m in total for the Brazilian’s signature.
Antony will need a work permit to play in the UK, so it remains to be seen if he can feature against Leicester City on Thursday night.
It sounds more probable that Antony will be in contention to play against Arsenal at the weekend.
