Dean Henderson is one of the outcast Manchester United figures with a point to prove this season and after comfortably slipping behind David de Gea in the pecking order last season, the 25-year-old has joined Nottingham Forest in a bid to gain valuable first-team minutes.
Henderson failed to make a single league appearance for United and only featured in the cups – one appearance in each competition.
Ahead of making his competitive debut for Forest this weekend, Henderson set social media alight after he admitted that United’s treatment of him had left him unhappy.
Now, he has revealed that United are the team he wants to face the most this season, as seen below.

“I remember the COVID season when I went back to Man United,” Henderson told Sky Sports, via Football Daily. “The reason I ended up going back in and giving it a shot was probably because there were no fans.
“It was as if you hadn’t missed a year of football because there were no fans, there were no supporters, it was as if it was a false league. It was COVID-related, it was uncontrollable really.
“I can’t wait to get out there. For me, personally, being a caged animal for the last year.”
Further pressed on Forest’s return to the top flight, Henderson was quizzed on whether there were any sides he was particularly looking forward to facing.
“It would be Man United but I can’t play that game, unfortunately. That’s me being honest with you, it would be Man United, yeah,” Henderson added.
Due to league regulations, Henderson is prohibited from featuring against his parent club across the duration of his season-long loan at Forest.
