Antony priced out of United transfer as Ajax raise price tag to €100m

Manchester United can forget about signing Antony this summer.

Although Ajax made it difficult for Antony to leave Amsterdam after pricing him out of a move, reports suggest they have raised their asking price yet again for the Brazil international.

Ajax told United that Antony would cost somewhere in the region of €80 million and links subsequently went cold.

However, The Athletic claims that Ajax have now raised Antony’s price tag to thwart off any interest.

This means United will need to pay €100m in total to sign the right winger and we can’t see that happening.

Ajax have already made lots of profit this summer with the sales of Lisandro Martinez, Ryan Gravenberch, Sebastien Haller and Nicolas Tagliafico.

In turn, they’ve signed Steven Bergwijn, Calvin Bassey, Brian Brobbey, Owen Wijndal and Francisco Conceicao.

Now Ajax are trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

The Eredivisie club risk keeping an unhappy player after blocking his dream move to the Premier League.
