(Video) Sky Sports journalist says Man Utd defender could leave this summer

Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka endured a challenging 2021/22 season, mainly under Ralf Rangnick, who replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer halfway through the season.

The 24-year-old was pipped to the number one spot at right-back by Diogo Dalot, who is also believed to be in Erik ten Hag’s plans this summer.

After being a shoo-in 12 months ago, it now looks like Wan-Bissaka’s future is uncertain and Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has now reported that he could leave this summer if he’s not given reassurances over playing time.

“Another player that possibly could be on his way out is Aaron Wan-Bissaka,” Sheth said on Sky Sports, via Football Daily. “I’m told he’s prepared to fight for his place at United but he’s at the stage of his career where he wants regular first-team football wherever he’s going to be.

“If that is not going to be at United, there is a consideration that he could move. United, I’m told, would consider offers for him, suitable offers for him.

“But everyone is quite relaxed about that situation simply because Wan-Bissaka has two years left on his contract and the club have an option for a third year.”

Wan-Bissaka’s non-involvement in international fixtures this month means that he will be part of the first group to report back to the club on June 27, with Ten Hag set to assess his squad for the first time.
