Erik ten Hag’s arrival at Manchester United has sparked a spike in rumours linking the club to not only Dutch players but also Ajax stars.
Jurrien Timber and Frenkie de Jong are two of the players regularly linked with moves to Old Trafford but earlier on Tuesday, Denzel Dumfries became the latest Dutchman to be paired with a transfer.
In addition to overhauling the midfield, Ten Hag is also believed to be looking at forwards and Ajax winger Antony has been rumoured to be of interest. Now, there are further reports suggesting that United are monitoring the Brazilian winger.
According to 90min, the appointment of Ten Hag has confirmed United’s focus on the player, with the club believe to be in regular contact with Antony’s representatives.

Any move for the exciting wide player is, however, dependent on the club strengthening the midfield. As per the report, United are confident they will be able to wrap up a deal to sign De Jong from Barcelona.
SN’s verdict…
Whether United need to prioritise a wide player remains up for debate but Mason Greenwood’s situation certainly doesn’t make it easier for Ten Hag.
Jadon Sancho, signed last summer in a high-profile deal, prefers to play on the left side, leaving Elanga as Antony’s only real competition on the right flank if he makes the move.
Marcus Rashford’s future at the club has also been put under the microscope. The 24-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract and his poor form has seen him lose his place in the England squad.
Antony, a full Brazil international, would be a quality addition to United’s squad but it wouldn’t be cheap and a move is likely to be dependent on departures. Anthony Martial, who has struggled on loan at Sevilla, is likely to leave the club.
