While we can expect a a lot of fresh faces at Manchester United this summer, it’s time for a number of dressing room veterans to move on.
It looked like Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani and Nemanja Matic played in a Manchester United shirt at Old Trafford for the last time night time in a 3-0 win over Brentford.
Matic received a standing ovation when he was substituted in the second half, while Cavani was begged to stay by an emotional fan in the carpark after the match.
There was some love shown for Mata too, with David de Gea showing his appreciation for the fellow Spaniard, who he will definitely miss having around Carrington.

Thinking back to how our season has played out, I think Mata was underplayed this season, even in a midfield three when Paul Pogba was preferred to him at stages this season.
I’m not saying he should’ve played every week because that sounds ridiculous but he still has what it takes to play at a high level.
Higher than a lot of our players have shown this season.
