A number of Manchester United players said a fond farewell at Old Trafford last night, as several players took part in their final home games for the club. Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani are all set to leave in the summer, and all three appeared in the 3-0 win over Brentford which was one of our most convincing performances of the season.
The Uruguayan striker made a cameo off the bench to bid farewell to the fans before he leaves the club at the end of the season.
More players will join them on the way out, possibly Phil Jones and Jesse Lingard, not to mention Paul Pogba who could switch Manchester for Madrid, Paris or Turin.
However, after the match last night, Cavani met a young fan in the carpark at Old Trafford and the young girl begged him not to leave. The video went viral on social media this morning and can be seen below (uploaded by Alison Bender):

The young fan asks Cavani to stay longer but I don’t think he will be changing his mind anytime soon.
And, perhaps more importantly, I’m sure Erik ten Hag has other plans for the team moving forward.
Cavani showed his class by taking some time out with the fan, even though he clearly had his hands full with a baby of his own! He still spent some time with her, posing for photographs and giving hugs.
