(Video) Man Utd U23’s equalise vs Arsenal after stunning assist from Shoretire

Manchester United’s U23’s have equalised against Arsenal after going behind in the first half. Ahead of the game, the big talking point was whether first-team hopefuls Alejandro Garnacho and Hannibal Mejbri would feature.

Garnacho, who has impressed Rangnick enough to be a regular in his matchday squads, was instead with the senior team whilst Mejbri started the Friday-night game vs Arsenal.

Arsenal’s Mika Biereth gave the Gunners the lead at Old Trafford in the first half but the lead would only last minutes into the second half, with Shola Shoretire and Noam Emeran combining beautifully to level things up.

Emeran latched onto Shoretire’s perfectly weighted pass and made no mistake with just the goalkeeper to beat, slotting it in to get United back into the game.

Rangnick has been spotted at academy games on several occasions this season but despite not being able to attend at Old Trafford tonight, he’ll most likely be watching with a keen eye as several first-team hopefuls aim to impress.

Shoretire made his senior debut for the club last year under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but hasn’t made a league appearance this season. He did, however, feature in the 1-1 draw with Young Boys in the Champions League.
