Darren Fletcher reportedly ‘had a go’ at a fan before the supporter in question was escorted from Old Trafford when Manchester United took on Leicester City this weekend.

The Red Devils drew 1-1 with Brendan Rodgers’ side and suffered another blow in their bid for a top four finish

United played poorly and can have no complaints over the result.

However, tensions boiled over midway through the game after Fletcher exchanged words with a fan.

The fan in question was then booted out of the ground, with fans applauding the decision, according to MEN reporter Samuel Luckhurst.

Luckhurst tweeted: “A fan is having a go at Darren Fletcher, who’s having a go back.

“The fan appears to have been escorted out by a steward. Some United fans applauded, but not sure whether they were applauding him him or for the stewards for removing him.”

Fred scored the equaliser just minutes after the fan had been kicked out by stewards.

Nobody knows what Fletcher said in response to the fan.

But I have always said it’s fair game when a player or coach gives it back to fans, but the best way to do it is by getting results on the pitch. That is not something this United team looks capable of doing.
