David de Gea frustrated with Luis Enrique snub for Spain squad

After two wins in the recent international break, Spain manager Luis Enrique can’t have many complaints.

Enrique ruled himself out of the running for the Manchester United job because he is looking forward to the World Cup in Qatar later this season, but there is a good chance David de Gea won’t be part of the squad.

De Gea was omitted from the recent squad after losing his place as first choice keeper for his country. Many will say he doesn’t suit the style of this Spain side and that his distribution isn’t good enough.

According to Diario AS, Manchester United’s number one did not take the decision well. It left him frustrated and he failed to accept Enrique’s reasoning.

Enrique is not afraid to make big calls and he has regularly rotated his goalkeepers.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, David Raya, Robert Sanchez and Sergio Rico have all been called up to the national squad.

Unai Simon appears to be the current first choice for Spain under Enrique.
