Erik ten Hag discusses transfer plans during Manchester United interview

It has emerged that Ajax manager Erik ten Hag feels ready to move to the Premier League after discussing transfer plans with Manchester United.

This news comes from reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has tweeted about the details of Ten Hag’s meeting with United earlier this week, which was initially reported by the Daily Mail.

Romano wrote: “During the meeting, Erik ten Hag wanted to hear about Manchester United budget and plans for the future. His English level has now improved – ten Hag feels ready to try Premier League experience soon.”

Stretty News understands that Ten Hag looks set to become our next manager, with United considering two former players for the assistant manager role.

That means fellow candidates for the role – Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique and Julen Lopetegui – are all set to miss out on the opportunity to manage United, although it is understood that more interviews will be carried out in the coming weeks as part of the club’s recruitment process.

Ten Hag’s focus right now will be on winning a third Eredivisie title with Ajax.

The Dutch giants are currently two points clear of PSV Eindhoven at the top of the league after beating Feyenoord 3-2 last weekend.
