English players at Manchester United irritated by Cristiano Ronaldo, says German reporter

Apparently Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford and co are “irritated” by Cristiano Ronaldo following the superstar’s return to Manchester United.

That is what German reporter Christian Falk has told his Twitter followers this afternoon.

Falk, who is hit and miss when it comes to stories regarding United, claims the English players at United are annoying by Ronaldo wanting to lead the dressing room, with his own clique.

He tweeted: “TRUE. The English players like Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford & Co are irritated that Ronaldo wants to lead the dressing room with his own clique. There is a risk of split in the team.”

My immediate reaction to this, was, well someone needs to.

United have not had enough leaders in recent years and these damning claims suggest that, players who are not leaders are trying to dictate who leads the dressing room. What a mess.

Also, a risk of split in the team? I don’t think the team has been very united this season anyway, so I’m not sure how bad it can get.

The next manager has a big job to do with this squad of players. Nobody wants to take responsibility, just like when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in November.

They all need to grow up and the leaking of information doesn’t help.

  1. Ronaldo is someone regarded as one of the best players of all time, who has won countless trophies in multiple leagues, including being one of only three players at the club to have won the league with United, I should bloody well expect him to be a leader in the dressing room. WTF has Maguire ever won.

Sit down son, you’re embarrassing yourself.

As for Rashford, I love the lad and his charity work, but on the pitch he needs to wise up. If he were everything he thinks he is, the club wouldn’t have needed to bring in a succession of 30-odd year olds on mega money in the first place.
