(Video) Fabrizio Romano claims United turned down three signings in January

Fabrizio Romano claims Manchester United turned down the change to bring in as many as three signings in January.

According to the Italian transfer guru, speaking to his fans on YouTube, United did not want to sign anyone under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

The main reason for that is the worry that a new signing might not be part of the plans of their new permanent manager, who has yet to be appointed.

It seems United snubbed the chance to sign Julian Alvarez, Denis Zakaria and Boubacar Kamara last month.

New chief executive Richard Arnold is expected to push on with work to appoint the next manager, with United asking players like Paul Pogba to delay decisions on their future until everyone knows who will replace Rangnick in the dugout.

  1. Yeah, United could have signed Alvarez, with kamara, it was important to at least had a pre-contract so that when he becomes a free agent in June / July, he can easily come to the Theatre of Dreams
