Police make arrest following Greenwood abuse allegations

The police have made an arrest following abuse allegations made against Mason Greenwood, this evening.

This all comes after distressing evidence appeared on social media this morning showing Greenwood’s girlfriend, Harriet Robson, battered and bruised following an alleged assault from her partner.

Manchester United announced this evening that they had suspended the academy graduate from training and matches until further notice, so it sounds like they got an early call that he would be occupied with other matters. The situation is far too serious and the club made the right call in timely fashion.

Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan has tweeted a statement from the GMP: “Police: ‘GMP were made aware earlier today of online social media images & videos posted by a woman reporting incidents of physical violence…following enquiries we can confirm a man in his 20s has since been arrested on suspicion of rape & assault.'”

Rape and assault is serious and if found guilty he faces a long time behind bars.

They don’t name Greenwood – but it is telling that we haven’t heard a statement from him yet when we all know how much time these young footballers spend on social media.

He will be under police custody for the time being and under thorough questioning.

We are all disgusted by this.
