“I am very happy here” – Manchester United star hits out at ‘fake news’

Fred has become the first Manchester United player to speak against the dressing room leaks that hit the British press this week.

There were reports that 11 players had become fed up with life at United and that Cristiano Ronaldo was threatening to leave the club if he didn’t like the next manager.

However, Fred has hit out at the media for ‘false news’ because he wanted to make it clear that he is happy at United.

Fred recently won United’s December goal of the month so he has a reason to be happy, but the result on Monday night against Wolves left everyone disappointed.

Following Ralf Rangnick’s press conference on Friday afternoon, the Brazilian midfielder took to Twitter where he explained his side of the story.

The United midfielder tweeted: “Over the past few days I have read several fake news involving my name and other MUFC athletes. I’m not in the habit of answering controversial stuff publicly, but this time I will have to.

“I just want to say that I am very happy here and I have never expressed any dissatisfaction and the possibly of leaving the club. Don’t get misled by fake news. We will continue to work with great dedication to pursue our goals.”

Fred has never been known as a troublesome player — even when after was signed by Jose Mourinho, the former United manager left him out of the team for months.

He is a far more important player these days and a recognised Brazil international.
