Fred has won Manchester United’s Goal of the Month award for December 2021.
The Brazilian midfielder, who doesn’t usually get on the scoresheet, curled home an effort from the edge of the area, to give United a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Fred shone in Ralf Rangnick’s first game in charge as manager and scored his sixth goal for the club.

“It’s always good to score in a game, but today we win 1-0 and it’s nice that my goal can be so important,” Fred told MUTV.
“With me being left-footed, sometimes I try with my right. Mason gave me a good ball and, in that moment, I just looked for the goal and it happened. I’m very blessed.”
Mason Greenwood’s goal against Young Boys in the Champions League came second in the voting poll, while Scott McTominay’s long-range strike versus Burnley last week finished third.
David de Gea won Player of the Month once again.
