Cristiano Ronaldo was back among the goals on Saturday evening as he helped his side get back to winning ways with a comfortable victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
The 36-year-old has now scored each of Manchester United’s last three winners in all competitions, with the latest goal compounding the misery on countryman Nuno Espirito Santo.
His first-half volley, the Portugal international’s fourth league goal of the season, was executed to perfection and it set United on their way to their first Premier League win since September.

Ronaldo was calm in his post-match interview, insisting he and his team-mates are aware of the added scrutiny which comes with poor performances, like the one against Liverpool last week.
He will, however, be hoping to build on the win at Tottenham as they prepare to face Atalanta on Tuesday – the replay of last week’s incredible turnaround victory.
