Manchester United set to lose Paul Pogba on free transfer next year

Manchester United are set to lose Paul Pogba on a free transfer once again, according to reports. The 28-year-old has been flirting with Europe’s top clubs for quite a while now but could finally seal his Old Trafford departure.

Pogba has less than one year remaining on the contract he signed on his return to the club in 2016 and is free to speak with foreign clubs over a pre-agreement in January.

Manchester United have tried to tie Pogba down to a long-term deal since 2019 but their efforts have been to no avail, with the France international now set to leave the club on a free transfer.

That’s according to ESPN, who say that the Old Trafford club are now resigned to the fact of seeing him leave for nothing. Manchester United are said to have accepted he will not commit to fresh terms at the club.

Real Madrid, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain are named as possible interested parties but they would all prefer a free transfer next year rather than a cut-price deal in January.
