Van de Beek prepared to leave Manchester United in January

Since his arrival from Ajax, over 12-months ago, Donny van de Beek has started just four Premier League matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Donny van de Beek is reportedly ready to make a move to leave Manchester United in January after the midfielder was snubbed again on the bench in the Champions League win over Villarreal.

That is according to the Daily Mail, along with claims Van de Beek will renew efforts to find another club in the January transfer window after seeing no improvement in his situation.

The Netherlands international had to be consoled by other players, who were also sat on the bench, when manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to bring on other players to influence the game, which he succeeded in doing as United beat Villarreal 2-1 on the night.

Van de Beek was visibly fuming and was seen thrown his bib on the floor in the technical area.

Fred and Jesse Lingard came on instead and both played a role in the winning goal – from the Brazilian’s cross to Jlingz setting up Cristiano Ronaldo — so the manager deserves enormous credit.

The 24-year-old was reportedly keen on a loan move to Everton in the summer but that fell through because United were not interested in doing a well. However, offer something close to ÂŁ40m and I think the club would use that money to sign a midfielder Solskjaer wants in his team.

  1. What a waste of talent. Solskjaer is doing the same with Sancho, he hasn’t played him on the right wing yet and his confidence must be going down hill.
It’s not Van Beek we need to get rid of it’s Solskjaer, he can’t get the best from this squad, this is the strongest group of players we have had since Fergie won the title, in fact I would say the last title was won by an inferior squad but we had the best manager in the world then and that’s what we need now, a class A coach not some clown who would struggle to win League 2.
