Man United midfielder fumes from bench as Solskjaer denies yet another appearance

Manchester United have come back from behind to win yet another game. In action on Wednesday evening against Villarreal in this season’s second round of Champions League fixtures, the Red Devils, thanks to a very late Cristiano Ronaldo strike, have snatched all three points at the death. However, for as much elation as Ronaldo’s late strike has given Old Trafford, there is also one major concern and that is the happiness, or lack of, of midfielder Donny van de Beek.

Named once again on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s substitute’s bench, the Dutch midfielder must be wondering what on earth he has to do to get on to a football pitch.

Having featured in just 39 matches, in all competitions, since joining from Ajax well over 12-months ago, there must now be real questions asked as to why the midfielder fails to feature so often.

With the Red Devils drawing 1-1 with just minutes to go and Solskjaer opting to bring on others instead of him, the midfielder was spotted on his side’s bench fuming about being snubbed.

He can be seen in the footage throwing his chewing gum out in disgust with MEN reporter Samuel Luckhurst providing more details of the midfielder’s frustrations.

Where to from here for van de Beek?
