(Video) Man Utd’s 17-year-old wonderkid scores hat-trick vs Birmingham

Amidst the promising start made by Manchester United’s first team in the Premier League, there are several youngsters pushing to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad this season.

United’s academy remains one of the most successful in Europe and certainly the most successful in the Premier League. In recent years, Mason Greenwood, Dean Henderson, and Marcus Rashford have all established themselves as top-level players in England’s top division.

17-year-old wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho joined Manchester United from Atletico Madrid last year and has impressed for the academy. The tricky winger will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the abovementioned.

Garnacho was in action on Saturday as he helped Manchester United’s U18’s get past Birmingham. United ran out 8-2 winners on the day with the Spaniard scoring three goals, as seen above. The goals were executed in typical Garnacho fashion, with the first goal certain to win the voting on ‘goal of the match’.

Solskjaer is known for being inclined to give youth a chance and despite being 17 years young, Garnacho could make a lasting impression on the Norwegian manager.
