(Video) Jesse Lingard gifts Young Boys winner with horrific back pass

No matter where you go in Europe, it’s tough. Tonight we lost a man, lost our lead and ultimately lost the game.

Jesse Lingard came on off the bench and played okay.

United would have had the game sewn up long before Young Boys equalised had we not been reduced to 10 men after Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s red card.

The sending off cost us our shape and Jadon Sancho had to be hauled off. It also saw Donny van de Beek make way at half-time for Raphael Varane, and before the end Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to take off his two best attacking players in Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes — both whom had involvement in our only goal.

But it doesn’t help when you give away the ball so poorly in the final third.

Lingard sent Young Boys an open invitation to score the winner as United lost 2-1.
