(Video) WSL goals: Leicester City 1-3 Manchester United Women

Manchester United Women’s team continued their winning start to the season under Marc Skinner on Sunday afternoon with a 3-1 win over Leicester City.

Ella Toone’s first-half screamer, plus goals from Maria Thorisdottir and Martha Thomas all secured three points in an entertaining WSL match at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City’s only goal came from Abbie McManus, who is one of three former United players who lined up for the Foxes today.

Kirsty Hanson came close to scoring in consecutive games as she forced Leicester keeper Kirstie Levell to make a save inside the first 50 seconds.

Toone’s 36th-minute strike from outside the box was a cracker.

The second was a matter of being in the right place at the right time.

And, the third, albeit scrappy had a wonderful finish to complete the win.

A weekend of high quality goals for the men and women.
