Earlier on Monday, reports of a potential exit for Manchester United winger Daniel James started to filter through social media. The 23-year-old winger has started two of the last three games for the club and an exit seemed unlikely.
Instead, the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have shaken things up at Old Trafford. A £20m move, plus add-ons, was being discussed by Manchester United and Leeds United, with talks described as ‘progressing’.
Now, The Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath claims that Manchester United and Leeds are close to agreeing a £30m fee for the Welsh winger, with a deal described as being on the brink of completion.

That’s a very good fee even if it includes fairly high add ons. Very good business.

£30m?! Great business by Man Utd that, he’ll do well at Leeds though. Fair play to him

The £30m fee has raised a few eyebrows among some Manchester United supporters, with many feeling like Marcelo Bielsa’s side overpaid for the former Swansea star.
After several years of struggling to move players on for a profit, the potential sale of James could potentially offer a glimpse of the future for supporters after restructuring the club in 2021.
It certainly looks like James is set to depart the club after two years and although he was often a frustrating figure on the pitch, he can keep his head held high knowing he always gave it his all.
I pray we won’t regret selling him
If he gets enough minutes he will definitely improve
