At the start of this summer’s transfer window, it would’ve been inconceivable to predict that both Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho would be signed.
They were, and the latter even made his debut for the club in last weekend’s Premier League curtain-raiser win over Leeds United.
Varane was introduced to the Old Trafford faithful minutes before kick-off in a spine-tingling unveiling before Sancho featured for the final 15 minutes as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side saw out the game.
Now, the pair will be hoping to start together for the first time this weekend when Manchester United make the trip to Southampton for their first away game.

Varane and Sancho have been pictured in training together, as seen above, with the 28-year-old France international taking part in his first full session with his new teammates.
The four-time Champions League winner even took to social media to update supporters, writing that he is “back to work with new colleagues”.
