Earlier on Monday, Swansea confirmed that they have signed Ethan Laird on a season-long loan from Manchester United. The right-back impressed last year on loan at MK Dons and has now made the step up to the Championship.
Russell Martin, who signed Laird last year, made sure to bring the 20-year-old with him to the Welsh club as they seek to gain promotion to the Premier League after last season’s play-off heartbreak.
Laird was presented on Swansea’s social channels but looks to be struggling with the Welsh language – luckily for him, he should be able to survive with his English.

“That don’t even make sense,” Laird said in disbelief when the interviewer explained how a specific word was pronounced.
Regardless, the language barrier will be the least of Laird’s worries as he prepares for the toughest challenge of his short career so far.
