Manchester United have ‘no intention’ of selling star striker this summer

Earlier this week, there were reports of a move from Inter Milan for Manchester United striker Anthony Martial. The Italian side were interested in Martial three years ago but a move never materialised.

It was claimed that Manchester United were ‘ready to sell’ Martial to Inter, should they receive an offer they deem suitable for the striker. Perhaps it was guesswork, but these suggestions have now been dismissed.

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United have ‘no intention’ of selling Martial this summer as he remains in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans ahead of the new season.

Solskjaer is said to want a big squad to help with rotation and any unexpected absences and Martial provides good cover, with Marcus Rashford set to miss the first three months of the season.

Last season proved to be an anomaly for Martial, scoring just four goals after finishing the previous campaign as the club’s Players’ Player of the Year and top goalscorer on 23 goals.
