Manchester United supporters have been dealt a treat on Saturday. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side took a convincing 3-0 lead into half-time in their pre-season friendly against Everton but fans will be delighted to see prospective signing Raphael Varane getting involved on social media.

The 28-year-old defender is set to join the club, having made the trip to Manchester earlier this week to complete his medical. It’s believed that the French international is currently in quarantine but is set to undergo all necessary testing afterward.

Manchester United flourished in front of 55,000 fans at Old Trafford, with goals from Mason Greenwood, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes giving them a comfortable lead.

Varane took to Instagram at half-time, sharing a picture of himself watching the game with his child. Anthony Martial, who has played with Varane on international level, started the game whilst Paul Pogba was named on the bench.

Jadon Sancho, another summer signing for United, is due back in training next week but reacted to Bruno Fernandes’ 25-yard free-kick on Twitter.
