Manchester United winger missed St. Andrews training camp due to injury

Manchester United winger and breakout star Anthony Elanga missed this weeks’ pre-season training camp in St. Andrews, Scotland due to an injury, according to reports.

The young Swede has been the star of pre-season so far for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, scoring in both of Manchester United’s most recent two games.

Elanga scored a sweet left-footed strike against Queens Park Rangers in their second game, although it was just a consolation, before opening the scoring against Brentford last week with a volley to finish off a fine team move.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Elanga missed this week’s trip to Scotland due to a ‘minor injury’, with the 19-year-old believed to have received treatment on the issue at Manchester United’s training ground this week.

Elanga, who made his Premier League debut last season and scored his first goal on the final day of the campaign, will be hoping to be involved in the first team if he doesn’t go on loan.
