Man Utd identify £60m Premier League star as Declan Rice alternative

Although a midfield signing does not appear to be a priority this summer, it does seem like Manchester United are keeping an eye on developments for their top targets. Declan Rice is a longstanding target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but a transfer materializing this summer seems unlikely due to West Ham’s high demands.

West Ham are expected to drive a hard bargain in any negotiations to sell Rice, which could lead to Manchester United pursuing cheaper targets instead.

And according to the Daily Star, Manchester United have identified Wolves and Portugal midfielder Ruben Neves as an alternative to Rice this summer.

In the report, it is claimed that whilst West Ham could be looking for a nine-figure sum for their star midfielder, £60m could be enough to lure Neves away from the Molineux.

Neves was a mainstay in the Wolves side under Nuno Espirito Santo and is a regular for his national team as well, often deployed as cover to Bruno Fernandes.

  1. I think a deal for Rice could be a real possibility considering Westham are interested in taking Lindgard . Any transfer involving Rice could include Lindgard as part of the deal maybe we could trow in Jones as a good will gesture lol
