Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong is set to join Birmingham on a season-long loan, according to reports. Chong spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen, before making the switch to Club Brugge halfway through the season.
Chong is highly rated at Manchester United, with the club fighting hard for his signature last year. The talented winger was close to leaving on a free transfer but eventually committed to a new contract.
According to The Telegraph, Chong is now set to join Birmingham City for the start of next season, having initially returned to training at Manchester United earlier this week.
The report claims that the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement over Chong’s loan, indicating that a resolution may not be far away. Chong made 10 appearances for Club Brugge in the Pro League last season but was restricted to just 10 starts.
